Last Friday we were at the Taste of Dorset Awards, at The Exchange in Sturminster Newton, and we had a fantastic night. It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many top foodies from Dorset; it was a real who’s who of our local foodie friends.

We sponsored the Best Farm Shop award, which Joanne presented to Lagan Farm Shop, a lovely little farm shop and a well deserved winner.  We also got a chance to see two of our friends pick up top awards on the night.

Hot off the back of winning two Great Taste Awards, Louise Trowbridge, founder of the Uncommon Pig Company, was awarded Best Food Product for her rare breed, free range Berkshire pork.  We’ve been working with Louise from day one and it has been lovely to be part of her journey.

The action didn’t stop there; our friends Nicky, Paul and Brett from The Eastbury, picked up the coveted award for Best Restaurant in Dorset! The Eastbury beat off stiff competition from finalists, The Dining Room in Weymouth, La Fosse in Cranborne and The Walnut Grove in Dorchester to win. We’ve worked with The Eastbury for nearly nine years, and so to see them pick up yet another award for the incredible locally sourced food they serve in the restaurant was a real pleasure.

(And did I mention Joanne was even on the front cover of the awards programme!)
