Wow – what a couple of weeks!

For almost two years Positive PR has been working with Badger Ales to bring the first ever beer garden to Hampton Court Palace Flower Show – and now all the cameras have flashed, the last visitor has left and the Badger Paw Prints have been safely stored away!

The Badger Beer Garden was designed by Flemons Warland Design, the construction team was Landform, and more than a little help came from students from Kingston Maurward College in Dorset.  Anna, Laurence and Rachel made up the Badger team,  and our Positive PR team included Nickie, Joanne and even Joanne’s husband Martin who all turned into gardeners to help the garden take shape.  From shovelling earth to pouring beer into the ‘wall of beer’ feature,  to carefully stroking meadow grass – each day was packed from dawn to dusk.  Laurence built amazing fences.  A cricket pavilion became Badger Headquarters and there was a constant flow of camera crews, journalists, and thousands of visitors through the garden.   It gave us loads of clips, pics and updates for twitter, facebook and Instagram – and with thousands of beer bottles to open and taste – it was a case of bottoms up to Badger!

They say Rome wasn’t built in a day and all told from conception to manifestation the Badger Beer Garden took approximately 663 days to create – but with lots of press coverage achieved, over 50,000 samples of delicious Badger Ales served, a Silver Gilt medal for the garden, and two appearances on the BBC with Monty Don enjoying a bottle of Badger whilst presenting – it was definitely worth it!
