On Monday, bright and early, Katie and Joanne were up with Chomette at the NEC in Birmingham for the 2011 Spring Fair (everything you can imagine including home, kitchen, gift and all manner of gorgeous things). It was the first time that Chomette had shown Rösle (the beautifully crafted kitchen tool and gadget brand), including 12 brand new innovative kitchen gadgets – all of which Katie and Joanne were desperate to take home for their kitchens!

In the afternoon the trade press and retailers were invited onto the stand for champagne and things to dip, and to discover more about the new products – Joanne and Katie then spent the remainder of their time taking in as much of the show as they could. They managed to see four halls worth of products but there were 20 halls in all!

Just last week Nickie was on her own expedition with Badger Beer.  She was on hand as an assistant artistic director (or so she seems to think!) on a photo shoot in Shoreditch. They got some great shots with photographer Gareth Morgan, even though they were all sipping mulled Badger Beer first thing in the morning! After a long day taking photos they ended up in The Hoxton drinking Martinis – so it wasn’t all hard work!

At the start of last year we helped with the launch of Salcombe Harbour Hotel and after a full year’s successful business things are really starting to take off.  It’s a beautiful corner of the world and journalists who have stayed there seem to agree. Along with the editor of Coast Magazine coming to visit, this week there is a great review in the Star and Express series, and even the Irish Times has picked up on what a great job the Hotel has done since re-opening…. In February Half Term children stay for free – so take a look if you need a last minute escape.
