For the past few months Katie and Briony have been working with Dorset Cereals on its very first Simple Pleasures’ Film Festival. On the day of the ceremony the whole PPR team was busy stuffing bags full of goodies to give away on the night including Dorset Cereals, Olives Et Al olives, Clipper tea, Badger beer and Denhay Cheese. In the end, there were so many goodie bags that needed to make their way down to the event in Bridport that Abbie had to ride to the rescue in her family wagon aka her VW Passat estate, which was crammed full to the brim!

The ceremony took place in Bridport on Friday 23rd April at the Electric Palace Cinema and over 150 people attended the gala evening including film producers, members of the press, local businesses and Award-Winning Director and Screenwriter, Julian Fellowes who helped judge the films and presented the awards.

Five films were selected to receive awards with the top prize being presented to Robin King, Lorenzo Fabrizi and Erini Konstantinidou from Hampshire for their film entitled ‘Snapshots’.  Ross Harrison from Oxford picked up the Runner up and People’s Prize as voted for on the Dorset Cereals website for his film ‘Sunrise’; The second runner up was Henry Cruickshank from Edinburgh for his film ‘Simple’; and The Judges Prize went to Emily Down, also from Oxford for her film ‘A Girl For All Seasons’
