Turning on the lights!

As we now ‘live’ on South Street in Sherborne we get our very own Christmas Tree which arrived this week. It was a wonderful occasion marked by the ‘switching on of the lights’. Instead of getting a local celebrity we decided Joanne should do it, and after she tried and failed to operate the ‘health and safety fire switch’ I took over….and after I tried and failed Hollie took over, and on the fifth attempt they came on!

Katie and Briony went along to Robin James in Sherborne on Thursday evening for a very special Pimm’s and Pampering event which they helped to organise. Guests enjoyed free mini treatments including reflexology and hand and neck massages, a GHD demonstration and even mini manicures in the spa and salon. The night was made even more special with winter Pimm’s and canapés from Olives Et Al and The Bay Tree and a bag full of goodies to take away at the end of the night.

Joanne went with Nicky and Paul King, owners of The Eastbury Hotel, to the South West Tourism Awards. The Eastbury was awarded Silver in the Best Small Hotel category! It was the perfect award for The Eastbury team to pick up on the night as it meant out of about 450 hotels that entered they were in the top three, cause for great celebration; but, they narrowly missed out on the Gold, a reason to drown their sorrows, meaning all-in-all it was a very enjoyable night!
