Love is in the air….already!

vAlthough we haven’t got anywhere near Christmas yet despite what some shops / pubs / radio stations may think, Cornishware is already thinking about February! T.G Green’s famous blue and white Cornishware pottery range will be available in red, snuggled up in a beautiful gift box which contains a little bag of scrumptious, handmade chocolates to celebrate Valentine’s Day 2010. Well it sure beats picking up a bunch of petrol station flowers on the way home…apparently!

View from west Cornwall_Joana DoyleOn Thursday the Marine and Coastal Access Bill was passed which will safeguard coastal areas by putting in place better systems to protect them. We work with Tom and Joana at Finding Sanctuary, which organises Marine Conservation Zones in the South West, to ensure as many people as possible get involved in deciding where exactly the zones should be. Now that the Bill has been passed the project can really take off and it will be a great challenge to help Finding Sanctuary get as many sea users involved as possible.

We’ve all been doing our bit this week to support the ‘blaggers banquet’. The banquet organised by food bloggers like Niamh ‘eat like a girl’ Shields is in aid of Action Against Hunger.  The bloggers will be preparing the banquet themeselves using only ‘blagged’ items and ticket sales plus auction proceeds will go to the charity.

Giles from Olives Et Al has donated some of his Bar King Nuts to the cause, and a hamper of goodies for the auctoin, we’ve also sent some Dorset Cereals for the goodie bags and over 60 bottles of Badger Applewood Cider to ensure the evening is a hit!
