Head Chef, Brett Sutton, pictured with his vegetable grower Ted Harris, was celebrating The Eastbury achieving Silver in the Taste of the West Awards Restaurant Category for 2009, and in the same week keeping its two AA rosettes! Brett attributes a lot of this success to the great working relationship he has with his local producers, as demonstrated by the photographs if you click through!

The Denhay Cheese Store H res

Nickie has been telling the world about Denhay’s big win! At the World Cheese Awards 2009, the Oscars of the Cheese industry if you will, Denhay’s Mature Farmhouse Cheddar won The Best Mature Traditional Cheddar category.

Many similarities can be drawn between the Oscars and the World Cheese Awards, one of the few differences being that instead of Hollywood the awards were held in Gran Canaria! As well as amazing Mature Traditional Cheddar, Denhay also produces incredible bacon, but don’t just take our word for it, click here to see what the culinary guide had to say.

Badger Beers and Cider for 2008

And finally, Badger Ales was included in the Independent’s Top 50 Beers list. After tasting a selection of the World’s finest Beers (what a weekend that would be!)  Judges decided Badger Golden Champion was worthy of the No.2 spot in the list!
