It’s been another busy week here at the Grain Loft. On Tuesday evening Nickie and I went to Turnbulls in Shaftesbury to help Charlie Turnbull taste-test his amazing new Westcountry Tapas Autumn menu. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it! We got some great shots of the event for Dorset Magazine which will be in the social pages next month.

We also managed to get Company’s Lisa The Lush and Agony Uncle Mikey Melis to try a cocktail with Badger Ale! Click here to see what they thought, and if you’re brave enough you can even try the recipe for yourself!

Nickie has been working with Denhay to promote its spoiltpig bacon in the Bath and Bristol area with some great results. There have been tastings at Morrisons, Bristol Food and Wine Fair and the Wiltshire Game and County Fair. There has also been coverage in the Western Daily Press, and the Bath Chronicle and Fork Magazine. Denhay also made Caroline Boucher’s 50 best gadgets and gourmet goodies list.

Magnetic Retro Timer BlueBack here in Sherborne, Katie has been working with salamander cookshop.com and this week the Daily Express’ Bonnie Estridge included Salamander’s Retro Magnetic Timer in her ‘What’s hot in the Kitchen’ page.

Sadly the winter is on its way but the upshot is Dorset Cereals is re-launching its award-winning porridges in handy sachets! They are due to go on shelf in October and have already had coverage in Period House and Health & Fitness, and Dorset Cereals is getting loads of lovely comments on the blogs as well!
